TOPICS and SCHEDULE

 

Topics for the 2011 NAAMLP Technical Program can touch on many aspects of abandoned mines.  A list of topics that will be presented at this year's conference can be download here.

GUIDELINES AND INSTRUCTIONS TO PRESENTERS

 

Prospective presenters are asked to submit abstracts for papers or proposals for workshops or panel discussions.  Abstracts and workshop or panel discussion proposals should be submitted in Microsoft Word format and should be 300 words or less.  The abstract should include:

·         Presentation title

·         Presenter’s name, title, organization or company, business address, phone number and email address.

 

Abstracts should be emailed to Presentations2011@conservation.ca.gov. The subject line should be your “Last Name” NAAMLP Abstract Submittal.  Additional information and requirements for submitting presentations will be updated once the selection process has been completed.

 

The 2011 NAAMLP plans to distribute a flash drive containing all presentations to all conference attendees.  If your abstract is selected to become a presentation, you must submit your presentation and biographical sketch to the above email address by no later than September 16, 2011.  Presentations received after this date may not be included on the conference flash drive.  Presentations must be in Adobe Acrobat (pdf) format or Microsoft PowerPoint format. Presentations in other formats will be returned for re-formatting.

By September 16, 2011:

  • Email (if less than 25mb) or snail mail (if greater than 25mb) electronic copies of the final technical presentation.
  • Submit a brief biographical sketch of each person who will be presenting at the conference.

 

Between now and the beginning of the conference:

  • Register for the conference.  (All presenters are required to register)
  • Check the conference website periodically for updates and announcements. A draft presentation schedule should be posted by July, 2011.
